Save Rose Creek

Our vision is for lower Rose Creek to be an open space park providing recreational and learning opportunities and a clean, healthy, aesthetically pleasing environment for residents, visitors, businesses, and native plants and animals, while serving as an accessible link for bicyclists and pedestrians to move between Rose Canyon Park, Marian Bear Park, Mission Bay Park, and surrounding communities.

San Diego Coastkeeper and I Love A Clean San Diego, in partnership with the California Coastal Commission, join together each year to cleanup local inland and coastal waterways and beaches in order to prevent marine debris from entering the ocean and to educate Coastal Cleanup Day participants about the importance of pollution prevention. Up to 80 percent of the marine debris on our beaches & oceans comes from a land-based source and thats why we are counting on YOU to clean up your local beaches, bays, canyons, rivers and creek beds to prevent this trash from polluting our ocean.

This year San Diego Coastkeeper and I Love A Clean San Diego are proud to demonstrate how an international effort can make a positive difference in the health of our ocean because pollution knows no boundaries. In addition to our media site at South Mission Beach, there will be a bi-national Spanish media site at Border Field State Park and three cleanup sites south of the border. Help us reach our goal of 7,000 volunteers and make a positive contribution to our local water ecosystems and increase awareness on how individuals can make a difference.

Sign up for the Rose Creek location.
